Palestinian prisoners and the execution law: webinar for a week of action
For Palestinian Prisoners Day, the People’s Centre for Palestine is hosting a critical webinar on the conditions of prisoners and how to get involved in the Free All Palestinian Political Prisoners international campaign.
On March 30, 2026, the Knesset passed a law mandating the death penalty for Palestinians in military courts – making execution the default sentence in certain cases, with hanging to be carried out within 90 days. At the same time, conditions inside prisons continue to deteriorate. Today, over 9,400 Palestinian prisoners are held in Zionist jails, many without charge under administrative detention.
We will be joined by Khaled Mahajneh, one of the first journalists to enter the infamous Sde Teiman detention camp – where detainees have been held blindfolded, shackled, and confined in cages under extreme conditions, with reports of deaths and severe mistreatment.
At a time when prisoners are facing a genocide behind bars and under the threat of execution, we must take action.
