About the film
Presented by TPAN in the North, Palestine Under Siege by Dare to Struggle Film follows three Australians, Dr Peter Slezak, Rand Darwish and Lee Rhiannon, as they travel to Palestine to conduct interviews and investigate israel’s accelerating colonisation of Palestinian land.
The film takes you into the heart of the struggle for Palestinian self-determination. Survivors of Al Nakba along with Palestinian and Jewish activists, share their experiences and insights of living under israeli apartheid.
About Al Nakba
This event is being held to commemorate Al Nakba – The Catastrophe.
May 15 is the anniversary of the Catastrophe – Al Nakba. This is the date that Palestinians mourn the ethnic cleansing of the areas that became the State of israel. At this time, 700,000+ Palestinians were forcibly removed from their homes and lands and made into refugees. This catastrophe is ongoing. We can see it happening before our eyes in Gaza.
