What are the funds raised for?

LAMA are hoping to open a place this year to continue to strengthen the activist heritage in Lutruwita/Tasmania. Their vision is a hybrid community activism centre and mutual aid hub, open to anyone who needs a space to try and transform their island home for the better.
Current members helping create this space come from a range of groups, including but not limited to: GRANT, TPAN, Short of a Sheet, Resistance and MACK.
If you can’t come to the fundraiser, no worries! You can contact LAMA at lutruwitamutualaid@gmail.com for more info.
Let’s make this dream a reality!

The L.A.M.A. Collective acknowledges Palawa as the original owners of Lutruwita/Tasmania. This event, and future social centre, is held in Nipaluna - the country in and around Hobart, the country of the Muwinina people. L.A.M.A. Collective pays its ongoing respect to the current custodians, ancestors and warriors in Lutruwita. We have a commitment to decolonisation and endeavour to uplift and uphold First Nations peoples, their ways of living and their customs on the island. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
