For the last Ahwa in 2024, we're having a special session:

• Ahwa and shai
• Card game (Hand Rimi)
• Plants native to the Levant for sale

Cards

In honour of our comrade Said Abraham, we're hosting an afternoon of cards (shadeh) in New Town.

We will teach a classic game called Hand Rimi that is commonly (and passionately) played in the Levant.

Ahwa (coffee) and shai (tea) will be provided.

Bring your own snacks.

Plants

There will also be a plant sale of plants native to the Levant region. They have been grown by our very own Maggie. Tube stock will be $3 each.

All money will be donated to Maggie's Palestinian friend in Beirut, who is an incredible forager and cook, and has just survived the horrendous invasion of Lebanon with her family.
