UTAS Encampment Alumni Letter

Support our students speaking up for Palestine

If you are a UTAS student, staff or alumni, sign our letter in support of the student solidarity encampment with Gaza and their demands.

We've sent the letter to UTAS leadership already, but you can still sign on and join the hundreds of staff, students and alumni that have already signed.

Solidarity encampment at UTAS

An autonomous group of UTAS students are camping at UTAS, demanding the university disclose, divest and demilitarise in solidarity with the people of Palestine. Their demands are for UTAS to:

  • release a statement calling for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine
  • divest from partnerships with Israeli institutions
  • demilitarise current and future funding arrangements
  • disclose all funding and decision making information
  • join the global academic boycott against any ties with Israeli universities.
