Letter to Contemporary Art Tasmania (CAT)

If you are a member of the arts community, we invite you to sign this open letter to the CAT Board.

Context

Artists for Palestine (A4P) have been putting pressure on arts organisations across the continent to stand against the genocide in Palestine, including Contemporary Art Tasmania (CAT).

On May 18, after four months of silence, CAT responded, stating they would not take a stance against genocide.

We have written an open letter to CAT in response, and invite artists, arts workers, curators, writers, producers and creative practitioners that make up the arts community within Lutruwita/Tasmania and beyond to sign onto it.
