TPAN

The Tasmanian Palestine Advocacy Network Lutruwita (TPAN) connects and mobilises people in Lutruwita/Tasmania to contribute towards national and international movements for Palestinian liberation and self-determination.

TPAN advocates for the end to Israel’s oppression of the Palestinian people and occupation of Palestine. TPAN opposes Australia’s complicity in the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.

What We Do

TPAN has a diverse membership of highly skilled activists, designers, campaigners, media liaisons and artists. Using our combined skills and resources TPAN delivers the following activities:

• Organises weekly rallies and solidarity events across Lutruwita/Tasmania
• Plans and carries out peaceful direct-actions to send messages to Australians who are in positions of power
• Collates, references and disseminates reports about injustices against Palestinians in Australia and abroad
• Raises funds to help families in Palestine (usually in collaboration with certified charities)
• Raises funds to help families who have come to Australia recently as a temporary safe haven
• Creates material that educates Australian people on the history of Palestine and how we can support its people and its independence.
